Hi Everyone,
The Protocol is printed and on the Web ready to go! Here is a link to the Website with the PDF: http://www.freedomproject.us/Education/Protocol.aspx
Here is the e-mail that Shawn sent to all of the conference participants today and information on how you can get a hard copy of it:
Dear Protocol Conference Attendees:
It is my great pleasure to share with you the completed Protocol for Free & Responsible Student Media. It reflects the hard work of writer Randy Swikle and the expert editing of Jamie Loo, but is also a product of the deliberations of which each of you played such an important part last February. With the help of the Illinois Press Association, we plan to officially release the report to coincide with Constitution Day, September 17, 2010. Randy will be our leading spokesperson and has plans to travel the country promoting its content and most importantly, the embedded First Amendment ideals. We also plan to do a mass mailing to journalism educators throughout the State of Illinois.
In the interim, please visit this link to access a PDF of the document. If you would like hard copies of the report for your own personal use, or multiple copies for dissemination through your organization’s efforts, please reply to this email with your mailing address and a requested number of copies. It is my hope that through our collective efforts we can ensure that this document has national reach and impact. Thanks again for your contributions to the February conference and its aftermath. I hope that you will agree with me that this Protocol is a living legacy of our efforts. Here’s to free and responsible student media!
Best,
Shawn
