Sam Chaltain: Speaker at CCSS Conference March 6-8, Ontario, CA

The California Council for the Social Studies would like to invite you to attend our 48th Annual Conference, Historical Literacy in a Changing World, in beautiful downtown Ontario, California. During this three-day event we have top-rated speakers, scholars, workshops, seminars and a variety of other special events. Some of our featured speakers include:

Sam Chaltain, Founding Director of the Five Freedoms Project of the First Amendment Center. He is a national leader and speaker who brings together students, educators and communities to discuss and support the Five Freedoms of our American democracy: religious liberty, speech, press, assembly, and petition.

Peter Irons, American political activist is a civil rights attorney and author of the best selling book, God on Trial: Dispatches from America's Religious Battlefields. He is currently arguing for Michael Newdow in the famous Pledge of Allegiance case brought before the U.S. Supreme Court.

We have new, amazingly low "bail-out" conference rates. Find out more and register at ccss.org.

See you at the conference. George Sabato, President, CCSS
