I'll give you a call. I'm in the midst of working out the schedule with both the Guild and FHAO. I'm working at making my trip there for Friday afternoon.

Molly - I'll be in NYC next week. I may drop by the Facing History school in Manhattan.

We will definitely want to take part in November. That workshop happens to be happening right around the same time as the Coalition of Essential Schools Fall Forum, so I will have to see who we have going to what at that time. My humanities teachers are very interested in implementing parts of the Facing History curriculum. Please have Mary email me.

I talked with Cal just last week. He is under the gun to sign a school as a part of his new venture. He is feeling a lot of pressure, but handling it well as always.

I don't know if you have talked with Tony from Amy Biehl recently. I am curious about what he is up to since I saw that he was moving on from ABHS. If you know of what he is up to, Kim and I would certainly be interested in knowing.

Take care, and I hope our work and paths will cross again soon.

Hi, Thanks for your message. I am actually sitting in Dylan Wray's office in Cape Town right now, I work out of here righjt now and we are trying to develop a film for schools and some training materials to respond to the recent xenophobia crisis here in SA. Raising money for it now, not the most fun part, but it could be cool work. I think that the Facing the Past/Facing History work is so important and so interested, I have really enjoyed sitting in on the workshops -- that is how I met Karen Murphy, here in CT at a Facing the Past workshop -- I have also been talking to Milton who does Facing History stuff in California about how my film Testing Hope could be used in the classroom or possibly in the program. Great to hear from you!

Hi Molly
I'm actually working at ESR in Cambridge, so I get to Boston several times almost every week - we need to catch up someday soon!
Cally and the kids are all great - Dylan graduated from the Met in June and is now working as a welder for a group he interned with while he was a senior - Ashley will be a junior at Barrington High School next fall...they're growing up so fast!
Cally is still doing a lot of work for AHSI schools, and is currently doing a big project for the National Association of Street Schools (NASS) out in Denver, and is on deck to do another video for YouthBuild Philadelphia in a few weeks.
What's new with you??

Michael, I'd love to fill you in on some of our newer resources--and maybe Fran & Heather from the Denver office could come out to give a workshop to staff? I try to get to Denver once every year or so... Would LOVE to visit Eagle Rock on my next trip. Give me a call if you want to talk-- 617-735-1650. Am vacationing July 19-Aug 4, so the next days are nuts, but hey, August is coming up.

Molly, Great to hear from you. I have always loved Facing History workshops and I believe they used to use ERS for hosting educators but I think they outgrew our capacity. Let's stay in touch on some of these ideas. I do know Joe. Great guy.

Molly,
Indeed, I am. Hi and well met again :-) I recently met the Director of a Facing History school in New York - Gillian, I believe her name is. You're doing some amazing work in those schools. You may want to check out Ning.com - that's what the Five Freedoms Project Network is built on. There are some pretty cool features for social networking. In the meantime, consider inviting Facing History folks to Five Freedoms and start your own group here - your voices can bring rich perspectives to our dialogues!
Nice to be in touch again,
Kim

Hi Molly-
Welcome to the Five Freedoms Network. I actually was just talking about you day before yesterday with our young friend, Cal Pifer.

Hope all things are well with you.

Take care,

Kim
