Here's the proposal we had written up: Throughout the century many social, cultural, and religious breakthroughs have occurred. Some of which have affected our lives in drastic ways which we may be unaware. In our leadership class, Ge Pao Moua, Yee…

Hey guys, regarding our presentation, as our theme was on "Breakthrough" I'd like us to talk about issues in the past regarding breakthroughs. First, maybe we all could talk about what's going on today, the only current breakthrough I would have to…

My Story:
I was born in a refuge camp in Thailand, thus my siblings and I often joke that my parents found me floating in the Mekong as a baby. Growing up in a small town of Stevens Point racial discrimination became a friend of mine as well as multicultural diversity. I'm the first in my family to attend college and step outside to a world I did not know.

"There's no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone."
My Ideal School is a Place Where:
I can learn how to better my gaming skills, and if you think this is useless I argue with you that it is not. Because of gaming I and many others have helped many, including myself, stray away from drugs, alcohol, and gangs. It has helped me develop my sense of freedom, yet it helps me connect to others on a level where we may communicate and understand each other.
My Religious Views:
I...chase squirrels around.
My Political Views:
The tides in this option change so much I don't know what to call it.
My Favorite Freedom:
Being able to walk outside and say "hello" to my neighbor.
My Personal Heroes:
My best friend, Dang Vue. Together we made a promise of change.
My Personal Motto:
Yeah, well if that's your say of what culture is then one day I will change it along with what you think.
My Favorite Journey:
A Journey West, my journey west.

Hi Yee, and welcome to the Five Freedoms Network. It's great to have you here and to see you in the Public Achievement Group :-) I really appreciate your post there and have a separate email started so we can talk more about the New England proposal.

Meanwhile, here is your "official" welcome :-)

We're partnering with The Forum for Education and Democracy on their Will We Really Campaign, launched on February 6, and hope you'll take a few minutes to visit the campaign web site: www.willwereally.org! Our goal is to have 10,000 signatures by the 100th day of the new administration.

As you can see from the world map on our home page, we have a growing, eclectic community of individuals from across the globe -- from Brooklyn to Pakistan, from North Dakota to China. Thank you for taking the time to add your voice to that fascinating mix.

As you surf around the Network and its companion site, www.fivefreedoms.org, I urge you to share your voice throughout. Take our You Be The Judge First Amendment quiz (a new scenario every two weeks). Leave a comment on a fellow member's personal page and make a new contact. Upload a video to our gallery, or watch and react to one already there. Join (or start) a group or visit the Soapbox to contribute to (or start) a discussion. And invite others to join us.

In short, use your voice to co-create our online community :-)

Post a comment on my page anytime with questions or ideas. And please, the next time you're online, upload a photo to your personal profile -- the easiest way to make a virtual network feel more personal is by seeing each other's faces (and profile answers). Thanks again!
