"Today a man owns a jackass worth fifty dollars and he is entitled to vote; but before the next election the jackass dies. The man in the meantime has become more experienced, his knowledge of the principles of government, and his acquaintance with mankind, are more extensive, and he is therefore better qualified to make a proper selection of rulers — but the jackass is dead and the man cannot vote. Now gentlemen, pray inform me, in whom is the right of suffrage? In the man or in the jackass?" ~ Benjamin Franklin

Kelly! Word on the street is there may be some interest in having Five Freedoms think through some program ideas in concert with the Center. If so, count me enthusiastically IN IN IN and let me know when/how we should start.
PS If it makes sense, you may want to set up a Close Up Group that could be used (publicly or privately, depending on the wishes of the person who sets it up) to facilitate communication between staff members. Just a thought . . .
I want to thank you for spreading the word and bringing some of your friends and contacts into the fold. If a place like this is to really take off and become a true gathering point, it will need the contributions and ideas of people like you. Keep it up!
Kelly! Welcome to the Five Freedoms Network. It's good to have you here. As you peruse the space and what it has to offer, keep in mind that it's a flat hierarchy -- you can start discussions (or contribute to existing ones), form new groups, share videos and photos, keep a blog, etc. Perhaps you can also help us think about how best to utilize this space as a way-station for people and ideas.
Post a comment on my page anytime if you have questions or ideas. And thanks again for joining!
PS -- Next time you're online, please upload a photo of yourself. To make the network as personal as possible, it's better to see each other's faces than generic profiles. And feel free to invite others to join us here. Just click on the "Invite" link in the main menu bar.
