My Story:
Retired Helicopter pilot, classical guitarist by avocation, writer; a collection of poetry, and an historical fiction depicting how Johann Sebastian Bach's Chaconne, affects the life of the protagonist, and in parallel chapters, the life of Bach and how he came to compose it.

I’ve developed the “Green Slime Mold Theory,” based on the practical application of the slime mold microorganism. Each autonomous cell at its own initiative self organizes with no central control. It then communicates and connects with other independent cells to find the shortest and most efficient path to reach a mutual purpose to proliferate infinitely.

Other than a simple code of conduct are no rules and regulations or any organized administration. Each individual citizen is in charge at the same time, all the time. On their own initiative participants will do what is necessary efficiently to seek and find the shortest path by which two purposes will be archived, in a ‘Virtual Internet Forum.”

The first purpose is to establish a one click connection for teaching institutions, especially elementary schools, to the ‘Forum Library.” The library will link to every available source of information about American history, our form of government and all of the pertinent documents and papers.

The second purpose is to convene a “People’s Constitutional Convention” to petition Congress, and direct our representatives to present amendments, developed in the forum, to the States for ratification, thus shortening a cumbersome costly and time consuming process that has resulted in only 17 amendments in more than 200 years. It has never before been tried in the history of our Country.
My Ideal School is a Place Where:

Quotable:
Silence between the notes

What happens in nature and in the entire Universe is also applicable in our human reality.

The conflict between two dissonant notes may be discordant but above the chaos is order.

Just as in the Universe it is within the silence between the notes that makes harmonious music.

Hi Joseph, and welcome to the Five Freedoms Network. It's great to have you here -- how did you hear about us? I love the Green Slime Mold theory!

As you can see from the world map on our home page, we have a growing, eclectic community of individuals from across the globe -- from Brooklyn to Pakistan, from North Dakota to China. Thank you for taking the time to add your voice to that fascinating mix.

As you surf around the Network and its companion site, www.fivefreedoms.org, I urge you to share your voice throughout. Take our You Be The Judge First Amendment quiz (a new scenario every two weeks). Leave a comment on a fellow member's personal page and make a new contact. Upload a video to our gallery, or watch and react to one already there. Join (or start) a group or visit the Soapbox to contribute to (or start) a discussion. And invite others to join us.

In short, use your voice to co-create our online community :-)

You may also be interested in taking a look at our companion site - the Five Freedoms Project. The section on "What We Value" includes a variety of resources about the five freedoms of the First Amendment, our leadership framework, student voice, and impact factors.

A quick reassurance: we welcome lots of different perspectives here on the Five Freedoms Network - about the Five Freedoms of the First Amendment and democratic education. At the same time, we recently had a discussion on the Network about spam - and agreed that is not something we want to encourage. Those who enjoy a good discussion about issues related to our Network are welcome!

Post a comment on my page anytime with questions or ideas. Thanks again!
