I can only imagine what a heady experience attending the International Democratic Education Conference in India was! Thanks for the recommendations for reading; I'm looking forward to exploring those resources. Nice to hear from you so quickly.
I've just recently finished up working in DC and for the time being am back in Indiana. The change is evident obviously, and so far I haven't really been able to align myself with the same sort of principles we have at the Forum.
I'd love to hear more about what you're doing and if possible lend a hand.

Also I think I have a model school you may want to consider visiting here in Bloomington called Harmony,
Harmony uses student government, and community service to empower the students and keep them not only in school, but keep them active and engaged.
