- Hi, I am Carolyn Evans. I have been teaching and/or consulting primarily in the higher education arena for 20 years and have had the privilege of being involved with PA for almost ten years. I coached fourth graders at Anderson Elementary School in Minneapolis, led the initiative to integrate PA into the curriculum of the Urban Teacher Program at Minneapolis Community & Technical College, worked for the Center for Democracy & Citizenship to evaluate and develop PA across the MN sites, and recently taught for the Leadership Minor at the University of MN, a program that has integrated PA into its curriculum. Currently, I am working with the principal of my daughter’s school to explore the possibility of integrating PA into the seventh grade Social Studies curriculum.
PA has been a transformative experience both professionally in my work as an educator and personally as a parent and citizen. I am looking forward to hearing about the broad range of reactions/challenges/rewards people are experiencing as they engage in PA!
